For those of you who live under a rock or just so happen to be new to the jafdip pages. I commute approximately 2 hours door to door each way a day via train to (and from of course you knuckle head). This equates to an awful lot of unclassified time. In fact the average commuter on my line will spend a whopping 1000 hours per year aboard the train, not including the outages and delays that invariably occur on a rather regular basis.
I recall one winter day I left my house and made it to the train station in record time, the after board my train returned to the same station 5 hours later without ever making it to my office. In reality I only left the train for 15 minutes. Needless to say I got a lot accomplished that day.
So why the hell am I bringing all of this up you ask? Well in the 10+ years that I have personally been riding this train I have had the oportunity to observe some rather unusual behavior. I’ve seen some seriously disturbing eating habits, grooming, as well as a few rare cases of canoodling and speculatively more.
This morning I saw this woman cleaning her ears after she fixed her makeup. I was shocked a bit, but then after riding the Long Island Rail Road for so long, not really surprised. Over the next few weeks I will try to document some of the events I’ve had the pleasure as well as distinct displeasure to witness over the years.
If you enjoy this crap, just remember it’s just another day….
